New AirTV 2 Makes Streaming Your Local Channels Easier Than Ever

With the launch of our classic AirTV device in 2018, we set out to provide cord-cutters with a convenient solution to stream free local over-the-air (OTA) channels—ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, PBS, and more—to their internet-connected TVs and smartphones. Now, it’s easier than ever with the newest addition to our family of devices, the AirTV 2!

Many consumers in large U.S. markets can receive upwards of 50 over-the-air local channels for free, depending on their geographic location and antenna quality. The AirTV 2 allows customers to capture those signals from an OTA antenna and distributes them wirelessly over a home’s Wi-Fi network, when connected to a digital antenna and a wireless or wired network, with no monthly fee. The AirTV 2 provides two streams of OTA content at a time in the home, with the ability to view one stream outside the home.

If you’ve ever had to hassle with wires or antenna placement, you’re going to appreciate the AirTV 2’s improved Wi-Fi connectivity and range, allowing you the flexibility to place the unit anywhere in your home. For many, the best possible over-the-air signal isn’t always located close to their television. We heard you—and we’ve also made it easier to access that signal thanks to a more compact vertical design that can be placed in smaller, quirkier places in the home (such as a closet or crawl space).

In addition to streaming your local OTA channels inside or outside of your home, the AirTV 2 integrates these channels into the Sling TV app interface, making it convenient to switch between your Sling TV subscription and OTA channels. Whether you already have an account or need to create a free one, simply pull up the Sling TV app on your iOS, Android mobile, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV or Roku device to access those OTA channels directly in your Sling TV channel guide.

AirTV 2 is available today on for $99.99. Customers who purchase an AirTV 2 on the AirTV website will receive a $25 Sling TV credit with their purchase. New Sling TV customers can also take advantage of a number of exclusive, limited-time bundle offers by visiting
